Autism Awareness Month

Greetings fellow connoisseurs its that time again. Yep you guessed it Autism Awareness Month. Now what is autism exactly?  Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication, as well as by unique strengths and differences that is the Google definition, but on the contrary and my personal opinion is simply this

AUTISM IS LIFE and I say that because these are all symptons of the adverge persons life we just do not display them all at once....

That being said have you ever gone out in public and noticed that kinda award fella that is always bursting full of life I mean like super hype about everything after you just gave a polite hello or nod? What about the quite girl who clings really close to her mom in the grocery store, doesnt speak just sorta gazes off in a fantasy land but the second she hits the cereal isle she seems to morphe into Wonder Woman and drags her mom with her to get a box of Fruit Loops? Then maybe when your attending service there is this kid who just wont stop repeating everything over and over again and when you shooh him he goes balistic kicking and screaming and his mother gets up and they seem to disappered? If so then
you may have witnessed a family dealing with autism. Now dont get all sad about it I mean its life it happens plus I have a solution to make things a little bit better and if not better then hey I've tried and nothing beats a try in my book.

This year I have created (2) more radical flavors of my signature decadent  gourmet cupcakes and yes don't worry LUCAS is still hanging out. Remember all proceeds (100%) are given to The Fasion Center here in Richmond Virgina.If you would like more information on how else you can get involved the info will be posted at the end of this post.

The Amazing Maddie- my signature strawberry cake drenched in a banana simple syrup, filled with luscious banana cream, topped with whipped milk  chocolate ganache, milk chocolate dipped banana chunk & strawberry flavored white chocolate dipped strawberry.

Owen’s Teddy Bear-vanilla cake stuffed with cinnamon kissed homemade cookie butter , topped with vanilla buttercream, teddy bear shaped  cookie, and sprinkles

Amaya’s Wonderland-vanilla bean cake soaked in mango simple syrup, filled with mango cream purée, topped with a light and airy vanilla Italian meringue buttercream,and a  fresh fruit berry blend, drizzled with a tropical fruit syrup and mint leaf.
